Green Molecules
More than half the power utilized in Europe comes from gases/molecules. In the future, the energy systems will replace these with sustainable and clean electricity. In 2050, Europe will still need much energy in molecule form for non-electrified applications, balancing, heavy transport, high temperature, and etc.
Presently, Europe is investing a large amount of money in green gases, accounting for roughly 50 percent of the power mix in 2050. The cooperation of the existing infrastructure for heat, electricity, and gas must maintain the whole system affordable and reliable, which will require new collaborations and knowledge to push through. All things mentioned are part of the green molecules project.
The field will focus on the worth and role of hydrogen and green gas chains as transporters of the transition. All the processes of production and materials used will be different from the present, and the value chains will be similar to the present ones.
Clean gas has developed over the years, and clean hydrogen is at the start of its development curve. The expectation for the growth of hydrogen is high and can create a significant contribution to remarkable changes in the long run.
Note that exposure to green gas can be used and shared, specifically for conditions in the realization phases and development, including regulations. Green gas and hydrogen will play a significant role in the supply of energy in the future. The Climate and Energy Coalition will continue to work with partners for a cleaner gas system.
